The Mattinata Beach: smooth pebbles, coves and sea caves of Apulia

The Mattinata beach is a stretch of coastline among the most beautiful on Cape Gargano in Apulia, it is composed of pebbles forged and rounded by the sea that here wanders along the coast between caves and coves until it meets beautiful beaches accessible only by sea. It is dominated by Mount Saraceno on the south, offering a panoramic view of the entire bay.

On this part of the coast, you will find the Bay of Zagare, a name derived from the flower of the typical orange groves of this area or the Mergoli Bay, due to the presence of blackbirds and sparrows, this is one of the most famous beaches. The bay is surrounded by high cliffs, a few meters from the shore there are the two stacks: Arco di Diomede and Le Forbici that make the panorama even more spectacular.

Continuing from Mattinata to Vieste, there is Vignanotica, known for its white and high cliff between caves and rocks, the bottom is gravel and descends rapidly into the sea.

Mattinatella is another stretch of coast consisting of two beaches among which dominates a rock about 100 meters high, the stretch on the north side is accessible only from the sea and is perfect for underwater fishing enthusiasts.
